The Supreme Court has directed controversial builder, Amrapali to first finish construction of the 19 towers of Leisure Valley project that is close to 80% complete.
The country’s topmost court had on February 20 decided to place on top priority, the cases of the housing projects of Amrapali Group on the basis of their construction condition.
The builders apprised the court that the expenditure of completing these 19 towers will hover around an approximate Rs 86 crore and the construction will be completed in 3-15 months, i.e., by May 2019.
The court will inspect the status of the work after a month. It also directed the promoters to give sufficient commitment in favor of the developer, who will complete the Leisure Valley project, to submit their bona fide by March 7.
Homebuyers via their attorney, Ashwarya Sinha had asked for the undertaking so that their rights of are completely safeguarded.
At the time of the hearing, Amrapali, by way of their counsel, informed the court that 13 co-developers have expressed keenness in completing the projects.
The apex court then ordered the promoters to provide elaborate information pertaining to the collaborators, financing and the category of their support. Acceptable undertakings in favor of all these developers have also been made obligatory.
In its next hearing on March 15, the court will now rule on the choice of the residential project that Amrapali needs to complete.
