The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has settled on resurrecting the high-speed metro project linking Greater Noida with the intended airport at Jewar.
YEIDA’s official on special duty, Shailendar Bhatia, stated on February 13 that Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) would be assigned the task of developing a Techno-Economic Feasibility Report (TEFR) for the aimed passageway that will connect Sector 20 in YEIDA area to the planned Jewar airport. “We will on February 15 officially ask DMRC to study the feasibility of the proposed project,” he said.
As per the YEIDA functionaries, they will soon also roll out a request for proposal (RFP) for whip into shape a sweeping urban mobile plan that will concentrate on a multi-conditional transport system. “We will invite the companies to study means of alternative connectivity between the national capital’s IGI airport and the upcoming Jewar airport in Greater Noida,” said Bhatia. “The final alignment will depend on the feasibility and finally the TEFR,” he added.
